CRIMINAL RECORDS REVIEW ACT

CONTINUING REVIEW REQUIREMENTS

The BC Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) applies to registrants throughout their practice life, in order that the Ministry of Justice and the College have current and accurate information relating to the profession.

Every 5 Years

Under the CRRA, every 5 years each registrant must initiate a fresh record review, and this must occur prior to the expiry of the previous review.

Upon a Charge or Conviction for a Relevant Offence

The CRRA requires registrants to undergo a fresh check with the CRR Program upon being charged or convicted of a relevant offence.  See more at the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) website.

See the CRRP website for a list of relevant offences.
